I've set up my blog for mobile blogging for the mobile phone, so it only made sense to set it up for email blogging as well. That way I can blog from the office when the mood strikes or something pops into my head. Hopefully this will work in the format won't be all stupid.
This morning I thought I was going to have to butter my thighs and ass to get them into the one pair of dress trousers that fit. The casual khakis can be buttoned, but that's where it ends. Now more than ever it obvious that measures must be taken to get said thighs, ass, and chins under control, else I run the risk of being incorporated by the county in which I reside as a small township.
Why am I "dressing up" today? Well, I'm lecturing this evening. Look at me, Dr. Bitch lecturing at the university. Fancy. Not really. And I didn't want to be all spit and polish, but when that's all that fits, there you have it.
I didn't sleep well last night or the night before. Original Mavis was at Chez Bitch this past weekend visiting and commented on the noise my neighbors generate on Sunday morning. I hadn't really paid that much attention to it, but now either their having a noisy couple of evenings or my awareness is heightened. Two nights in a row now, I've been startled awake by the sound of someone's voice talking as if their in the room with me. It's the neighbor's loud ass girlfriend. This isn't her normal speaking voice, so I don't understand why at 11:30pm she has to speak louder, but there you have it. It's not as if I'm unaccustomed to loud neighbors. I've lived in an apartmenty style community for years now, with and without thin walls. But as I age, I grow less tolerant.
Of course, until the lease is up there is nothing to be done. Complaints to them or the office will fall on deaf ears I'm sure, especially if the guy next door owns his townhouse. The community in which I live is a mix of primary owners and renters. I'm sure I'm just sensitive again because I was lulled into a false sense of quietude before this heifer moved in. I just don't want any unforeseen and unfortunate noises when my family visits next month.
In other news, my friend Brian has a book that will published in the coming months. He's made the announcement, so I'm just letting my reader(s) know that when the book is out, go buy it and read it. You'll be glad that you did.
We now return to academe. Quel treat.
